Chris Southwick (2024-) | First season in new truck |
Kurt Johnson (2018-2022) | Multiple Top 10 finishes |
New for the 2024 season is Chris Southwick & son Conner Southwick in the ex-Kurt Johnson buggy.
Having competed largely in Teams Recovery events in the Waikato, this is their first foray into the world of trials!
The Green Hornet is one of the more unique builds out there, the brainchild of Kurt Johnson & Shane Southwick-Hazelden at Full Send Fabrication. What puts this truck apart from the others is it’s 4-link suspension in the front, which looks similar to what most buggies would run in the back! Together with a turbocharger when first built, Johnson would be a regular contender for the Top 10.
