The Biggs Family Cup determined by a Clubs Top 3 Class finishers at each event, was a one sided affair with Counties dominating all season! With a maximum score of 500 points coming from the top two classes no easy feat. Counties are now three time winners and still the only multiple winners of the cup.

Eastern Bay Twin Diff Club

495 Points

The only club to swipe a win off Counties throughout the season was EBTDC. With Paul Taylor making a return in F Class, Rhys O’Brien’s consistency in C Class and Wayne Weatherly’s Top 10 performances in D Class – The club was a feature among the sharp end over the year.

3rd

Levin 4×4 Club

490 Points

Once a club with the lone wolves of Caleb Adlam & Jarrod Moss, Levin mounted a challenge this season with the help of Matthew Sterling & Daniel Howat. Despite only having 3/3 finishers for four rounds, Levin sneaks into the Top 3 ahead of Whanganui.

C CLASS

Shayne Towers & Tony Hadland

After over ten years in the game Shayne Towers & Tony Hadland finally crack the C Class title! In a season dominated by the 402c Racing team they were left largely unchallenged on their way to the top.

D CLASS

Jarred Biggs & Fleche Crawford

With a hand full of second & third place finishes, Jarred Biggs & Fleche Crawford take out D Class for the first time in Hot Wheels. Working their way through the season which came alive in the second half.

G CLASS

Daniel Howat & Cole Stockler

Levin

Suzuki SJ410

Daniel Howat & Cole Stockler win again, this time in G Class as the former A & E Class champs survive yet another season in the little old Suzuki.

F CLASS

Paul Taylor & Danielle Taylor

EBTDC

Toyota Landcruiser Prado

Paul Taylor & Danielle Taylor go back-to-back with another F Class title, some five years apart!

K CLASS

John Sheridan & Matthew Wilson

Homebuilt

With a couple seasons of K Class under his belt, John Sheridan & Matt Wilson take it out for 2025 in their last season in ‘The Farm Truk’! A move to D Class is on the cards for next season, in a CowperTruck no less.

Chris Tomalin & Richard Verner

Twenty years since his last appearance, Chris Tomalin makes a return to the Top 10 by the skin of his teeth! From borrowing a Cowper Truck for the final, tying for 10th on points, claiming the place on countback, protested, kicked out and only to be reinstated again… makes quite the journey to the say the least, for the team from the Waikato.

Shayne Towers & Tony Hadland

C Class champs Shayne Towers & Tony Hadland returned to the Top 10 after missing out last season. A strong year with four appearances in the Top 10 saw them comfortably ahead of the other challengers.

Scott Dickson & Caitlyn Thomsen

Up one place from the previous season is Scott Dickson & Caitlyn Thomsen. Starting the season strong with two 4th place finishes. Tied for points with Towers & Hadland, those 4th place finishes came in handy putting them up a spot.

Wayne Weatherly & Tayla Weatherly

Making their debut in the Top 10 is father-daughter team of Wayne & Tayla Weatherly. After a DNF at Round 1 on the first stage, the Waikato team never looked back as they became a regular face in the Top 10 for the next five rounds.

Dave McKie & Reece McKie

Taking their 2nd win this season was father-son combination of Dave & Reece McKie, making a return since their last appearance in 2022. A strong performance from the team sees them claim their best ever result of 6th Overall.

Two podiums towards the end of the season saw the Waikato entry of Chris Gifford & Sam Thomsen an outside shot for the title, ultimately claiming their best result of 5th Overall.

The defending champs started the season strong as a part of the trio tied for first, a difficult spell in the middle of the season finishing outside of the Top 10 saw them drop back, only to return with a podium and a win to round out the season.

3NZ

Ash Tonkin & Dyon Ross

Thames Valley

Taking third place after narrowly missing out last season is Ash Tonkin & Dyon Ross. Winning Round 1 and only one point behind the leaders heading to the final saw the Thames Valley team right in contention for a maiden title. Nevertheless, it is their best result to date.

2NZ

Mitch Caldow & Jamie Elms

Cowper Truck

Winning Round 2 and tied at the top coming into the final round was Mitch Caldow & Jamie Elms. On the podium for the first three rounds saw them leading the way in the ex 2016 1NZ Cowper Truck, an impressive feat in a 9-year-old buggy! With Biggs & Crawford on form for the second half of the season, Caldow & Elms would have to settle for 2NZ in their best finish to date.

Jarred Biggs & Fleche Crawford

After finishing 2NZ & 3NZ on numerous occasions, the Counties team finally crack the top spot! A slow start to the season changed at Round 3 with a 2nd place, taking the win at the next two rounds to put them on top with equal points with one round to go. A 3rd place was all they needed to wrap up their second season in Hot Wheels.
